TAGS Academy Staff
TAGS Staff has been nationally recognized for being superior educators. TAGS currently employs over 80 part-time instructors and has 15 fulltime staff members. Staff attend weekly clinics at TAGS to receive ongoing education for gymnastics instruction and safety awareness. TAGS is strongly built on quality coaching at all ability levels.

Aimee Simdorn – Gymkids Coordinator

Aimee has been coaching at TAGS for over 13 years. She is a USAG Member and is Safety, KAT & MELPD Certified
Aimee grew up in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She started gymnastics at the age of 5 and competed through 11th grade at Idaho Falls Highs School. She then attended North Dakota State where she earned her degree in Physical Education.
In her free time, Aimee likes to go to her cabin and spend time with her family. She has two daughters that are on the team at TAGS.
Karin Stedman – Progressive Coordinator

Karin has been coaching gymnastics for over 7 years. She is a USAG Member and is Safety, KAT & MELPD Certified.
Karin grew up in Elk River and was the Captain of the Elk River High School gymnastics team. She attended Anoka-Hennepin Technical College where she earned her degree as a Construction Electrician.
In her free time, Karin enjoys hunting, fishing, woodworking, quilting, morel mushroom hunting, agate picking and teaching Pilates and other workout classes.

AJ Smuder – Progressive Coordinator
AJ has been coaching gymnastics for over 12 years. She is a USAG Member and is Safety Certified. She has also judged Boys Compulsory gymnastics for the past two years.
AJ was a high school gymnast at Fridley High School for 6 years. She attended Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan where she ran track and got a degree in Photography.
In her free time, AJ loves to watch sports, travel, and hang out with her dog Banks and her boyfriend Nate.
