Julia Thompson and Greg Aretz started TAGS in 1977. In 2002 they became Inductees for Lifetime Service to the University of Minnesota’s Hall of Fame.

Julia Thompson is a former USAG National Safety Certifier with over 40 years of coaching experience. Other credentials include but aren’t limited to 1989 USA Championship Local Coordinator, 1991 International Special Olympics Gymnastics Commissioner. Coach of Former State, Regional & National Champions. Former USAG National Board of Directors member. 2006 VISA Championship Volunteer Coordinator.
